Meet Sherrie

During my 20-year long career as a wedding photographer, I had the great pleasure of attending hundreds of weddings. I’ve so missed witnessing the excitement, emotion and joy that only a wedding ceremony can create. I also missed being surrounded by and meeting new people, like I had throughout my photography career…

So I had the idea to reinvent myself and become an ordained officiant. I’ve been told I’m a people person, who is warm, outgoing and friendly. I love meeting new people and hearing about their love stories. I believe in the sanction of marriage and all the good that can come from it, when people live by the vows they take.

I married my college sweetheart in our yard, with less than 20 guests, a $20 dress and a bouquet full of daisies. I feel humbled and grateful that we recently got to renew our vows on our 40th Wedding Anniversary in Hawaii, barefoot on a beach surrounded by our 3 children, their spouses and our 6 grandchildren.
